Each year, a Parade Marshal leads the Iron River Lions' Blueberry Festival parade. The 2007 Parade Marshal will be Howard Fuhrmann. Howard's roots are deep in the community. He graduated from Iron River High School in the class of 1932.

Howard is an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Iron River, as you can see in the picture taken at a recent church picnic held at Moon Lake Park.

You can nominate someone to be Marshal of the 2008 Blueberry Festival Parade.

The rules are simple. We need:

• The person's name
• Their connection to the Iron River area
• Why you believe they should be Parade Marshal
• Your name and contact information
