Dale E. Carlson, 89, of Iron River, WI, died Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center on South Range, WI. He was born on July 23, 1930 in Superior, WI to Fred and Ann (Olson) Carlson. Dale graduated from Central High School in Superior. He was the owner/operator of Wisconsin Typewriter and Tri-State Business Systems in Superior for many years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and the Lion’s Club in Iron River, WI. He loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed his home on the Iron River Flowage and traveling .Dale is survived by two sons, Scott (Michele) Carlson, Superior, WI and Todd (Sherrie) Carlson, Iron River, WI; five grandchildren, Drs. Chad (Karen) Carlson, Amber (Kevin) Farley, Nathan (Jennifer) Gallagher, Matthew Carlson, Jessica Carlson, Mary Carlson and Makala Carlson; six great-grandchildren, Oliver Carlson, Benjamin and Tia Farley, Jack and Katie Gallagher, and Aiden and Rylan Carlson; daughter-in-law, Anne Carlson, MN and WI and one sister, Bev Draper, Duluth, MN. He is preceded in death by sons David P. and Mark S. Carlson, his parents and brothers Torrence, Bud and Don Carlson. Per Dale’s wishes, no public services will be held.
